The Barrel was placed on the lake in a great location this year!  Thanks to all who came out on Jan. 12th to cheer on the EPRD staff who placed the barrel with the help of Past president, Jimmy Dickson and Ice Melt Chair, Keith Dragon.  We need your help in promoting and selling the Ice Melt tickets.  https://evergreenicemelt.com/

Stay tuned for more exciting ways to engage in our second biggest fundraiser:  Ice Melt!  Without your participation, the INSPIRE program, EchO, C4A and our MFR Foundation will be at a disadvantage.

When I was going thru a difficult time, some years ago now, this poem presented itself into my life.  I've looked at this plaque countless times over the years, as it has followed me from home to home with each change in residence I've made.  Reflecting on the recent fires which have taken the homes and lives of so many just north of my home, I've paused to imagine what I would grab to go in an evacuation.  This battered old plaque (or now its message in digital form) will be in my go bag, as its message is a distillation and reminder of what is important, to me.  May the families who lost so much remember that things can be replaced and may God grant them the courage to start again, to flourish, in the wake of what was lost.  PJ Dyon president of Mountain Foothills Rotary
