It is not often that we have an American hero speak to us, but this week we do. Our speaker, Doug Fain, is a highly decorated Air Force pilot who flew 214 combat missions over Southeast Asia during the Viet Nam war. His decorations include The Distinguished Flying Cross for Heroism.
Doug worked for Martin Marietta participating in the mission to Venus project. He has taught at 5 Universities, is an expert in project management and has authored 4 books. He is the recipient of degrees from the Air Force Academy, Georgetown and the University of Southern California.
I certainly hope you will come and listen to Doug and bring a guest.
We need one more person to join Rose, Bob Z and me at the MALT annual fundraiser at Alderfer/Three Sisters Park on June 24! Our job is to manage parking. It is interesting and a good meal comes with the gig. It is also a good opportunity to network with people, many of whom would make good Rotarians.
Don’t forget to let T.J. know you plan to attend the changing of the guard on June 24th. It will be a very good time.
