Guess the date and time the barrel drops through the ice on Evergreen Lake. Tickets run $3 to $100 at shops and rec centers around Evergreen, and every ticket supports local causes. Deadline: March 17.
Our signature winter tradition is back. When Evergreen Lake freezes, the Mountain Foothills Rotary barrel goes out on the ice, and the whole town guesses when it will fall through in the spring.
Tickets: 1 for $3, 2 for $5, 5 for $10, 11 for $20, 67 for $100 — available online and in person at Echo Resale Shop, Evergreen Commercial Group, Evergreen National Bank, the Evergreen Chamber of Commerce, Everbean, Java Groove, and both Evergreen Parks & Recreation centers.
Filled-out tickets must be received by midnight on March 17. Winners are chosen by the closest guess without going past the actual date and time; ties go to the closest guess of the day's high temperature.
