This week our speaker is our friend Pastor Duncan Miller. The last time he was with us he had a serious subject, but this time it is all about fun. Reverend Miller has a collection of 300 books of the works of Charles Schultz which h e calls his Peanut books. He will delight us with the mastery of Charles Schultz.
At last week’s board meeting, it was decided to make a big push to acquire new members. If you have thoughts on the subject, please share them with board members.
Again, don’t forget to sign up for the Area Eight meeting on April 20th. Just hit return and type that you are coming. We will be dark on the 19th.
The evening will feature a buffet dinner and a cash bar starting at 5:30. The featured speaker will be Jim Halderman who will discuss Rotary’s role in world peace initiatives over the years. The event will end at 9. The cost is $30 per member.
April 29th is the District Conference. Here are the choices:

5 million children are healthy today.
In lands both near and far away
Who otherwise might be lame or dead.
From polio that childhood dread!
And hungry children are being fed.
Through better ways to grow their bread.
Rotarians in many lands are teaching,
And doctors of all kinds are reaching.
out to heal the sick and lame
With little thought for wealth or fame,
And men and women are meeting the need.
To teach little children how to read.
Youth come here from every land.
In answer to our outstretched hand
To learn to know us and know our ways.
Bringing peace and friendship to all our days.
And clubs are formed in every nation,
For fellowship and conversation,
For education and information,
And practicing the cultivation
Of peace on earth, good will to all
And a speedy end to every wall
Which separates the folk of earth
And keeps us from seeing each other’s worth.

About what Rotarians do each day,
