This week we meet at the lake. The purpose is to have some time for food, drink and most of all, Rotary fellowship. Bill will be putting up the Rotary tent, all we have to do is show up. I thought the last event would be poorly attended by Evergreen residents. Parking is a hassle, you have to buy beer not bring it and it had been raining. I was wrong…... the place was packed. Except for Rotarians.

This week let’s join in on the fun. I plan on arriving about 5. I hope we fill the tent and then some. By the way, this is the last of the summer concerts. If you want to drop off chairs, Bill suggests 11AM.

It occurred to me as I pondered how to get great speakers, that among us are great stories. Some are about business or career events, some are highly personal things, some have changed our lives. I have one story I am saving to tell St. Peter to get the gate opened. Maybe you just want to make us laugh with your standup routine.

So, I will be looking for members to tell their stories. It will be a way to get to know each other a little better. It’s not hard to prepare a 20-minute presentation and take questions. I pledge that I will assist with power points if you want one. Usually, a heartfelt story needs no audio visuals to assist.  Let me know if you are interested.
See you at the lake.
