Our speaker, Larry Cerrillo, has been working with law enforcement to develop effective restorative justice programs. Larry is well qualified to work for win/win outcomes as he has been serving as a mediator since 1998.
Restorative justice is a set of principles and practices that create a different approach to dealing with crime and its impacts. Restorative justice practices work to address the dehumanization frequently experienced by people in the traditional criminal justice system. Instead of viewing a criminal act as simply a violation of a rule or statute, restorative justice sees this action as a violation of people and relationships. The other thing on which restorative justice depends is redress for the victim of the crime by the person who committed it.

Evergreen Heroes
This week we will kick off our attempt to increase revenues for the golf tournament with our Evergreen Heroes initiative. We will be seeking sponsors at the $100 level. We continue to believe that many potential sponsors can’t afford $300 but will be willing to spend $100. We are asking all members to consider becoming a hero or by introducing me to potential hero level sponsors. I’m willing to make the call telling the prospects that you recommended them, or you can make the call.
Please consider both being a hero or providing heroes.
