We ended our store selling with a $600 weekend. This weekend we had Jaime, Donna and Bud, Kelly Garrod and Bob Z and Judi & me selling.  Thanks to all who stood in the cold selling tickets at area stores. No one got covid and we made a difference for our charities.
Service above self…. It is a beautiful thing.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The board is Proposing a by-law amendment to address the following situation: In some cases, after many years of service to Mountain Foothills Rotary, a member Is no longer able to fully participate because of age, health concerns or other personal situations. Yet the long service member wants to remain a member of Mountain Foothills Rotary.  Rotary no longer has a membership category for such a situation since attendance requirements have been eliminated. This should be used in extraordinary circumstances otherwise it losses the honor it intends to deliver. It is a status unique to Mountain Foothills Rotary, thus it recognizes service only to Mountain Foothills Rotary.

"It is our desire to recognize long service members who have given long and exceptional service to Mountain Foothills Rotary and to eliminate the obligation of working on Rotary projects and to lower the dues requirements of membership. Therefore, we are creating a new membership category called “Rotarian Emeritus Member.”

Requirements for Rotarian Emeritus Member
  1. A member requests consideration as a Rotarian Emeritus Member of our club
  2. 20 years or more service to Mountain Foothills Rotary
  3. A former board member and/or a chair of a major fundraising committee
  4. Approval by the Board of Directors based on long meritorious service to our club
Status
  1. Will remain a member in good standing with appropriate privileges
  2. Will not be asked to support projects with their attendance
  3. They will be classified as active members on Club Runner
Dues
Will be assessed only Rotary International and District dues"
