This week we’ll have a 100% social….no business, no speaker nothing but a social evening. We’ll have a cash bar and something to eat. Those who choose to do so can stay for dinner.
Mug contest: bring a unique mug or glass to the social for a fun mini-contest. Categories are:
- best story
- most unique (caption, size, color, shape, etc.)
- ugliest

Winner of each category gets a free drink at the bar.

Ice melt update:

Judy Mitchell and Bob Z set a new world’s record at King Soopers selling 321 dollars of Ice melt tickets in two hours. Based on modest success projected for tomorrow, we should take in $750 for Ice Melt this weekend.

So far our volunteers have been Judi Q 4 times, Jennifer Mathews 2 times, Judy Mitchell, Bill Dixon.
These brave volunteers have brought in an additional $1500 in ticket sales. We have 20 more dates scheduled, but we need 20 Rotarians to fill those dates.

Please commit to one of the dates on the separately sent spread sheet. To do so, just e-mail me the date you can work for two hours.

Please sign up to do your part. Teams have all members doing their part. The Chicago Bulls won 6 championships, but they won zero with just Michael Jordan. When the Bulls brought in more players and became a team, they were unstoppable. We can have a great team effort here, but we need you. Two hours is the ask.

Announcements:
Area 8 Social - April 6, 2022 @ El Rancho with a Rotary Trivia Contest  more details to follow...

Youth Exchange - is our club interested in hosting an exchange student for the 2022-2023 school year?  This is an in-person exchange.  And as such, the WHOLE Club needs to be willing to take this responsibility on.  The usual number of host families is three, however there can be more or less families.  Additionally, a Rotarian the same gender as the student will be needed to act as counselor.  If interested, please reach out to PJ at pdyon54@aol.com

February is Peacebuilding and Conflict Prevention Month.  The 2023 Rotary Peace Fellowship application is now available.  Here is the fellowship announcement - if you have questions or know of a candidate for the fellowship, please feel free to reach out to PJ at pdyon54@aol.com.
Our own Rotarian member, Dave Talbot has asked for help.  He needs one or two Mountain Foothills Rotarians to help out at the House of Friendship at the March 4 - 6, 2002 High Country PETS.  This is an event which encompasses Rotary Districts 5390, 5420, 5430, 5440, 5450, & 5470 held at the Westminster Westin Hotel.

This event is a wonderful opportunity to portray Crutches 4 Africa (and Mountain Foothills Rotary) to all of the PEs and PENs of each of the Rotary Clubs in the above mentioned Rotary Districts.  This is a very easy way for you to learn more about C4A and to help Dave and Candice with their amazing message - over 171,000 devices distributed and lives changed.  Are you able/willing to help?  If so, contact Dave Talbot at C4A@crutches4africa.org
