This is a fantastic week in that we have Laura Shepard Churchley as our program. As you know, she recently followed her famous father’s footsteps into space. She and Michael Strahan and 4 others journeyed into space on Jeff Bezos Blue Origin.
Laura provided a program years ago, but this will be primarily about her adventure. The trip was 50 miles shorter than her Dad’s Mercury flight in 1961. She took a tiny piece of his freedom 7 capsule from his Apollo 14 trip to the moon and a couple of golf balls as mementos. We all remember that Alan Shepard hit a couple of golf shots on his historical trip. Strahan took his super bowl ring and retired New York Giants jersey.

It will be unseasonably cold Wed., but the snow we are expecting should be moderate and over by 6:00PM. She can get to and from space, we should be able to get to Mount Vernon.
Kibbe Brown and Maren were our sellers this weekend. They did pretty well and both enjoyed the experience. Next weekend we need 4 volunteers. Dave & Kay Brewick and Jennifer Gann ae selling on Sat. We need volunteers for Sunday both at Walmart and Evergreen Liquor. Please let me know.
