2014 Evergreen IceMelt Wrap-up

January 7 was the date to Roll out the barrel ... Mountain Foothills Rotary placed the, when the Evergreen Ice Melt barrel the ice on Evergreen Lake. With that, the festival of festivities, began.

And then, I.C. Elk started working hard, and appearing everywhere Evergreen (and Paris, Egypt, the Oscars, the top of the world, Mexico, London, Hollywood).  And that elk was selfless enough to continue “sefies” to promote the project.

This year's contest was amazing! 110 participants picked the right day for the barrel to drop! Of those, our first place winner was within 39 seconds, and all other winners within 3 minutes or less of the official mark. Smart contestants!!!!

Well, the Barrel fell;  Evergreen Fire rescued it  (thanks ever so much), and the excitement started winding down

The official barrel drop time was Friday, March 28 at 13:17:31. The winners are:

1st Place: Linda Kirkpatrick ($1,000 prize)
2nd Place: Carla Boyd ($500)
3rd Place: Beth Feldkamp ($250)
4th Place: Rod Hock ($125)

All four winners are from Evergreen. Congratulations!
