While in corporate life (Toyota), Paul was active with the employee interest group – Toyota Veterans Association. Focus was on supporting Veterans transitioning from military service to civilian. This included helping with resume writing, interviewing skills, job seeking and advocacy.
As a fly fisher person for decades, when Paul discovered Project Healing Waters, and the focus on Veterans healing, he committed to himself to volunteer as soon as he retired.
At Project Healing Waters, Paul has been a fly fishing and fly tying mentor, Trip Leader, Trip Coordinator and for the last two years, Lead of the Denver PHW program. He has witnessed first hand the healing nature fly fishing brings to Veterans.
