Water System for Uganda
Bill Downes reported on a very ambitious District Project, to provide a reliable water system for the country of Uganda, an east African nation of 50 million. The goal is to raise $3 million dollars, and about $1 million has already been raised, and shows the incredible impact the Rotary can have on the lives of people half a world away. Uganda suffers from extreme economic inequality, with 41% of the population living on less than $1.90 per day (considered the international poverty line). Stay Tuned for updates.
