This week we will have a club assembly. Among the agenda topics will be a discussion of our Mountain Foothills Foundation. The by-laws are being looked at in terms of making some overdue updates.
 
Keith Dragon as agreed to become the Ice Melt chair this year. He is seeking committee members to assume responsibility for the following: 1. Member ticket sales, 2. On-line ticket sales, 3. Logistics, and 4. sponsors. Please consider how you might assist in this important project.
 
On Saturday seven Mountain foothills members joined Rotarians from other clubs to help load mobility devices into a container being readied for a shipment to Central America.  Dave was pleased with the helping team, and except for a bee sting, a good time was had by all. Thanks, Dave, for your continued good work and thanks to those who helped.
 
The speaker from Red Rocks Community College gave us some interesting facts about the roles of community colleges. He discussed the bill currently being contemplated in Congress. The bill proposes the addition of a 2-year community college benefit for Americans.
 
Remember that this Thursday. Oct 7th at 12:30 is the celebration of life for JoAnn Stucker. She was a charter member of our club and a wonderful and accomplished person. Please try to attend this event.
