Pretty good attendance again last week....Great being back together.

Rose is working on the final accounting that will allow us to write the checks to our ice melt charities. The amount of profit we made this year will not be as much as usual. Of course, last year’s raffle was a one-time event because of the generosity of Chuck Ridings.  We might give some thought to how we can replicate that event next year. The bottom line is that despite our great improvement in on-line sales, we didn’t come up with the ticket sales we would have gotten at King Soopers and the Liquor store.  I take responsibility as the ticket sales guy, but I tried everything I know about marketing to maximize our revenue.

The golf tournament is off and running and seems to be headed for a great financial outcome.  Two factors are working. One, Maren has sold a bunch of 50/50 raffle tickets and she is organizing selling at either King Soopers or the liquor store. We hoped to do better than the silent auction, and it seems clear that we will beat those numbers. Two, we got a new $5,000 sponsor. It came in from a personal e-mail solicitation, again from Maren. Please look at your personal list of businesses and send out a note asking for sponsorships. I guarantee, you can’t get a yes without asking.  A golf sponsorship is just $300 or if they can’t do that, they can be an Evergreen Hero for $100. ASK AND WE WILL RECEIVE.
