It will be a busy Wednesday. Park at the lot across from Parkside Café. Head into Buchanan Park to our bench for the dedication ceremony at 4 PM. We’ll then head over to Tuscany Tavern for a libation. Then about 5:30, we’ll go the the Rec Center for the meet the Sheriff event, which we are sponsoring. No meeting at Mount Vernon.
Note that the Seniors 4 Wellness luncheon is November 18 at Christ the King Church, 11:30 till 2.

Chris did a great job and Dave Brewick will be next on Sept. 28th. he’ll discuss the economy, including inflation, what causes it and how to get rid of it. Dave always packs us in and never disappoints. His sage understanding of economics is impressive. Everyone has a story to tell and doing so will let us get to know you better. Getting outside speakers can be a challenge. I have been trying to book Tom Brady’s marriage counselor, but no luck.

An office like sheriff seems to me not to be a political contest. Both candidates will be pro-police and determined to serve and protect. Both will have little patience with any lack of prosecution of the criminals they arrest. Since we have no government in Evergreen, our Sheriff will be in charge if a wildfire were to occur. I don’t know a great deal about either candidate, so I look forward to meeting them and listening to their ideas. I hope you will come as well.
