This is the sign-up genius to volunteer to sell tickets at the liquor store next to Safeway. We will avoid King Soopers until the pickets are gone. We are asking each Rotarian to spend one two-hour shift selling tickets. If we can take advantage of these selling opportunities, we can make this year’s ICE MELT very successful. This project is becoming a signature project and making it better each year is a worthy tradition. Please click it.

It’s a well-established principle that we should not ask others to do things that we are not willing to do as well. Today I filled in for a member who had signed up but has been ill. It was a beautiful day so no weather concerns. I didn’t set any sales records because there was another seller there, and they had a better spot, but we did ok. I am going to meet with Safeway and see if we can improve our spot. I bet we can.

I wore my mask and laughed with customers that this was a test to see if people would buy tickets from a masked man. I feel better meeting people with the added protection of the mask, and it shows respect for the customers all of whom are also masked, of course. I can report that everyone I approached were friendly. It was actually fun.

I wish we were meeting in person, but we are lucky that we have zoom. I have two other meetings next week and both have been changed to zoom because of the surging COVID. We should be thankful for the technology that lets us continue to meet.

Please don’t miss Dave’s presentation.
