Our speaker this week is Cory Vander Veen, the new Executive Director of EPRD. He is a Colorado native born on the front range, married with and 2 kids who are 4 and 7 years old. His degrees from Western State College are in Business administration and Outdoor leadership.
His Parks and Recreation experience spans 17 years.

In his new assignment as the executive director with Evergreen Park & Recreation District he will  pursue his vision… “incredible programs and facilities that elevate our lives.”

Cory is a fellow Rotarian, and he listens to the community to be able to provide future planning and directions that will make Evergreen an even more incredible community.

We were able to sell tickets this last week end and did well. Trent has come trough with several sponsors, but we need sponsor solicitors to sell more.  The barrel is on the lake is in a highly visible spot.  Last week’s selling crew was Rose, Maren, Mike Lanier, two Special needs Moms & me. Rose and I had a ball.

If we are to have the type of results we are seeking, we need more members to help. Together, we have the power to do just about anything, but without all our members, we fall short of out potential. I’m out of town next weekend so if you can sell, let Jaime or Maren know.  Eli has volunteered for next week already.
